Learn the value of your antiques, when they were made, and where they came from on Thursday, April 30 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at a unique antique verbal appraisal event at the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop, located at 308 Walnut Street in Newtonville. The event is sponsored by the American Cancer Society and Skinner Appraisers' Stuart Whitehurst. Skinner Appraisers' Stuart Whitehurst, Inc, is one of the nation’s leading auction houses for antiques and fine art and the only major auction house headquartered in New England. Individuals are asked to purchase tickets ahead of the event for $20 an item to be verbally appraised by Stuart Whitehurst, Vice President and Senior Appraiser. All funds raised at the event will benefit the Society’s programs of cancer research, education, advocacy, and patient services. Please omit coins, stamps, jewelry, and musical instruments.
The Discovery Shop is an upscale resale boutique providing high quality items at a low price with sales benefiting the Society’s programs.
